Who we are

This site is run by Megan Collins Jewellery Ltd (company number 14990760), trading as Megan Collins Coaching. Our registered address is Brookfield Court, Selby Road, Garforth, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS25 1NB, United Kingdom. We are the "data controller" for the information described here, which means we decide how and why it is used.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Your name and email when you create an account or take the audit.
• A password, which is stored encrypted. We can never see it.
• Payment details at checkout. These go straight to Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Your answers to the Instagram audit and your progress through the courses.
• Anything you post in the community, or send us in a message or to the AI assistant.

Information we collect automatically

• Basic usage and device information, so we can keep the site working and improve it.
• Cookies and similar technologies (see below).

Information from others

• Payment and subscription confirmations from Stripe.
• If you connect your Instagram account in the toolkit, the account information you authorise us to access.

Why we use it

We only use your information for clear reasons, and only where the law allows:

• To give you what you signed up for (our contract with you): your account, the courses, the membership and coaching.
• To send service emails like receipts, access details and important account notices.
• To send marketing emails where you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time, in one click.
• To improve the site and keep it secure (our legitimate interest in running a good, safe business).
• To meet our legal and accounting duties, such as keeping records of sales.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data, ever. We share it only with the trusted services that help us run the business, and only as far as they need it to do their job:

• Supabase. Database, secure login and file storage for your account, course progress and community activity.
• Stripe. Payment processing. Stripe handles your card details directly, so we never see or store your full card number.
• Vercel. Hosting for the website and member portal.
• Cloudflare. Content delivery, DNS and security protection for the site.
• Resend. Sending our emails, such as receipts, access details, replies and account notices.
• Anthropic. Powers the in-portal Studio Assistant. Messages you send to it are processed to generate a reply.
• Calendly. Scheduling your one-to-one coaching calls.
• Google. Business email (Google Workspace) and website analytics.
• Meta (Instagram). If you connect your Instagram in the toolkit, we access the account information you authorise.
• Kajabi. Our previous course platform, still in use for some products while we move everything in-house.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on approved safeguards (such as the UK addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) to keep your data protected.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as you have an account with us, and for a reasonable period afterwards. We keep records of purchases for at least six years, to meet UK tax and accounting rules. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
• Ask us to delete your data.
• Object to, or ask us to limit, how we use it.
• Ask us to move your data to another service.
• Withdraw your consent to marketing at any time.

To use any of these, email megan@megancollinscoaching.com. If you are ever unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and the site working, and a small amount of analytics to understand what is useful. Some pages embed a YouTube video, and YouTube may set its own cookies when you press play. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Children

This site and everything on it is meant for adults aged 18 and over. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is important, we will let you know by email.
